Admission Process For B.A. LL.B (HONS.) & BB.A LL.B (HONS.) Academic Year 2023-24

· Candidate seeking admission to Symbiosis Law School, Pune (SLS, Pune) should complete the following procedure:

· It is mandatory to appear for SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) as a precondition for admission to SLS, Pune.

· Candidate must complete the SLAT (Symbiosis Law Admission Test) online registration process.

· Candidate must pay Rs. 1950/- as a SLAT Registration Fees.

· Candidate must complete the SLS, Pune payment Rs. 1000/- per programme (i.e. B.A. LL.B (Hons.) or / and BB.A. LL.B (Hons.)) while filling the SLAT registration form.

Note: It is mandatory to Register & Pay to both SLAT & SLS Pune. A candidate registered for SLAT and not registered for SLS, Pune by paying above mentioned fees will not be eligible for the next phase of PI-WAT process at SLS, Pune.

Eligibility

Qualification:

The candidate should have passed XII (10+2) examination from any recognized Board with a minimum of 45% marks (40% for S.C. /S.T. candidates). Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and are awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission.

INTAKE:

The total intake is 300 seats [inclusive of 180 seats of BB.A. LL.B (Hons.) and 120 seats of B.A. LL.B (Hons.)].

Separate Merit Lists for BB.A. LL.B (Hons.) and B.A. LL.B (Hons.) programme will be prepared and published. At the time of SLAT registration, it shall be mandatory for the candidates to clearly indicate the programme to which they wish to apply. A candidate is free to choose BOTH or ANY ONE programme.

Note: It is suggested that the candidates who have studied Arts/Social Sciences subjects for their qualifying examination may apply for B.A. LL.B (Hons.) programme. Similarly, those candidates who have studied Commerce/Accounts/Mathematics/Sciences may apply for BB.A LL.B (Hons.) programme. Further, the candidates are also free to make their own choice of selection of the programme depending on their ability, interest and opportunity. Candidates will be shortlisted for PI-WAT on the basis of the SET score. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT)

All registered and eligible candidates will be called for Personal Interaction and Writing Sample (PI-WS). Final selection shall be based on the combined merit list of All India Admission Test (AIAT) consisting of Writing Sample & Personal Interaction

For LLM programmed –

Eligibility Criteria for SLS Pune

For BA L.L.B. / B.B.A. L.L.B. Programmes:

The candidate should have passed the 10+2 examination from any recognized Board with minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ ST candidates). Students who have appeared for their Standard XII final examination and waiting for the result are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate at the time of the final admission,

The candidate should be a graduate from any recognized University with minimum of 45% marks (40% for SC/ST students) in one attempt (no compartment). Students who have appeared for their final year degree examination and awaiting results are also eligible to apply, subject to submission of passing certificate by the announced date

For L.L.M. Programmes:

Candidates should have a 3 or 5 years LL.B. degree from any Indian or Foreign University recognized by the UGC with at least 50% marks or equivalent grade (45% for SC/ ST candidates)

NOTE: Candidates who have appeared for the final year L.L.B .examination may also apply

Selection Procedure:

For BA L.L.B. / BBA L.L.B. Programmes:

Candidates will be shortlisted for PI-WAT on the basis of the SET score. The shortlisted candidates will be invited for Personal Interview (PI) and Written Ability Test (WAT)

For L.L.B .Programmes:

For LLM Programmes:

Candidates will be selected on the basis of their performance in the All India Admission Test (AIAT) conducted by the institute

Age Limit for Law Courses

The maximum age limit for five-year course is 20 years for the general category and 22 years for SC/ST at the time of appearing for SLAT.

The total seat intake of L.L.B. seats at SLS- Pune is 300 seats per year.

180 seats for B.B.A. L.L.B.
120 seats for B.A. L.L.B.

Separate Merit Lists for B.B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) and B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) programs will be prepared and published. At the time of SET registration, it shall be mandatory for the candidates to clearly indicate the program to which they wish to apply. The candidate is free to choose any one or both of the above-mentioned programs. No request for a change of Programme will be entertained at any stage.
