SRM College Entrance exam
For admission to different courses, SRM conducts Different Entrance exams-
SRMJEEE –
SRM Joint Engineering Entrance exam (SRMJEEE) is conducted by SRM and through this entrance exam, you can get admission to Engineering and B.Arch. courses, on the different campuses of this institution.
This entrance exam is conducted by SRM in the month of April every year and the result also comes in this month only.
The counselling process takes place in MAY month every year on behalf of SRM University.
SRMJEEM –
SRM joint entrance exam for management is conducted by SRM for admission to the Management courses.
This entrance exam is also conducted every year in the month of April and the counselling process takes place in May.

Eligibility Criteria
- For Engineering you are must above 16 years old. You must have scored 50% of marks in 12th boards examination. If you want to apply for B.Tech in Genetic Engineering, Biomedical Engineering and Biotechnology Engineering program you must have to secure 50% total mark either in PCM or PCB (Physics, Chemistry, Biology).
- Eligibility criteria for Direct Admission in SRM University through Management Quotais based on the counselling on your rank scored in the SRMJEEE entrance exams. Depending on your rank score and 12th board examination marks you will get Admission in SRM Colleges.
Admission
For admission into the undergraduate engineering courses, the authorities conduct their own entrance exam known as SRMJEEE. However, to encourage and support students of exemplary talent, SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM University) offers direct admission to first rank students of all the central and state boards in India, top 10,000 rankers in IIT JEE, top rankers in each district of Tamil Nadu and exemplary sports persons at National and International level.

SRM Institute of Science and Technology (SRM IST) Chennai placements are overseen by the placement department of the institute. It is known as the SRM Career Centre. SRMIST Chennai placement department is also responsible for training the students so that they are placed into reputed companies. It is having over 90% placement record. It’s really good in that field. It prepared its students for it And also there are mass recruiters as well as core companies coming to pay you enough.
This year from our EEE branch the highest package paid was around 15 lakhs. So there is really good placement offered. In fact many companies like CTS, Infosys, TCS and also companies like VISA, mu sigma, and L&T came for giving jobs to students. They give a salary package of 3 lakh to 15lakh per annum. About 85 percent of the students get placed every year.
